About the Psychotherapy Institute

The journey starts here.

The Psychotherapy Institute (PI) offers a different approach to help therapists better serve our patients and community. The PI integrates high-quality training, implementation support, and organizational transformation to empower providers and improve patient outcomes—ensuring that effective care truly makes a difference.

Individuals seek therapy to improve their lives. Therapists and patients work hard to help patients obtain these changes. Some get better. Sadly, data shows that, despite this hard work, 60% of individuals receiving behavioral health either stay the same or get worse1,2. This is true both at Intermountain and in the broader community. Interestingly, only 14% of evidence-based practices (EBP) reach the people who need them3.
