About accessibility and support

Intermountain is here to help when you need it.

Scheduling an appointment is easy. However, most new patients will need to be referred from another provider, such as a primary care doctor, before seeing a cardiologist. Patients who have been previously diagnosed or treated for a heart condition may still need a referral.

One of the best ways to find a cardiologist and schedule an appointment with any Intermountain Health doctor or clinic is to use our provider search tool.

If you have an emergency or urgent heart health concern, you should:

  • Call 911 immediately if you experience symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, or severe heart palpitations.
  • Go to the nearest emergency department—Intermountain Health provides 24/7 emergency services at multiple locations.
  • Visit an urgent care clinic for non-life-threatening heart concerns, such as mild chest discomfort or palpitations.
