Andy’s heart surgery

Andy was experiencing chest pain and shortness of breath, so his cardiologist referred him to the heart experts at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver for a coronary bypass from cardiothoracic surgeons Dr. Fred Milla and Dr. Megan Loo. His procedure was routine until mid-surgery when Andy went into cardiac arrest, and required extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) to save his life. Today, Andy is back to enjoying his active lifestyle.
